In a recent SI.com piece by Iam Thomsen, NBA commissioner, David Stern, revealed that it's "in the range of possibility" that women will play in the NBA within 10 years. While we think Stern needs his urine checked, we discuss which major sport is most likely to field women in the near future. We're so diplomatic.

USA Today is taking a look at NFL tailgates across the country…and if they're compliant with "recommended" policies set forth by the NFL. Most aren't (surprise), and the NFL is thinking about toughening their guidelines. Some agree with the NFL's attempt to limit hours and subsequent binge boozing. Others (namely, those boozing)….not so much. We discuss the implications.

We also chatted about last weekend's hideous throw-back jerseys that a variety of NFL teams wore in Week 3. The recent collection included the Tennessee Titans wearing some relatively-recent Houston Oilers throw-back jerseys and Bacott pondered if it would be possible for the Baltimore Ravens to wear some "old school" Cleveland Browns jerseys...while playing the current Cleveland Browns.

The fellas began the episode talking about the big baseball card news last week. Topps has been given exclusive access to use MLB team names and logos on their baseball cards. Others cannot. Pretty big news. Well, for us. Thus, we broke down the decline of the baseball card "industry" with a little assistance from our friend, Don West.

We played a few of the anthems and it brought back nostalgic, backyard memories of athletic domination while listening to the American classic on the boom-box.

Sebek and Bacott also observed athletes currently on this week's top "Google Trends"...as compared them to the top Google searches that led people to this here site. Quite a comparison. Post "Wiffle Ball" discussion involved chatter about ESPN sending baseball analysts closer to the field in the July 27, 2009 game between the Cardinals and Dodgers.
