In Chapter 1 of NFL training camp HYPERBOLE, you learned that many players are starting to "Catch On". As it turns out, Chapter 2 tells a similar story. Let's take a look at the tape ...

percyharvin

Percy Harvin caught on around the same time last week as the four men featured on these pages. And now that he IS caught on, the Vikings can shift their focus from waiting for Percy to Catch On to hoping for greater returns. It beats the alternative of hoping for Brett Favre. (Gotta love the sub-headline about Harvin. Perfect.)

And what about the moment when Player A transcends from "not caught on" to "caught on"? Like the good Lord above, you celebrate and proclaim this miracle.

Some players still haven't had that moment, though. They're just beginning to catch on.

Stick with it, Ernest. You'll Catch On soon enough.

*Thanks to Chris D for the C.O. Alert involving Patriots' tight end Chris Baker. If you or someone you knows has evidence of a player catching on, don't hesitate to email me at patrick@joesportsfan.com. Together, we can help players Catch On.

Yea the idea of "flashes" cracks me up because it's the positive of "this guy isn't consistent at all".

"Flashes" is really starting to catch on.

Jim Traber

During the biggest slump of his career, Traber switched to a self-induced V-neck jersey and soon captured player of the week honors. In keeping with the superstition, he refuses to wear full-collar shirts and hasn't showered.
