Sebek and Bacott from JoeSportsFan.com begin Episode 20 talking about the U.S./Brazil Confederation Cup championship and ponder the annoying fan activities in sports. Really, it's a poor excuse to talk about how stupid ThunderSticks really are.
Round table guests are our very own Patrick Imig, DJ Gallo (ESPN Page 2 and SportsPickle.com) and Jon Pyle (PyleOfList.com).
Round Table topics include:
1.) The Philadelphia 76ers are going back to their old logo and colors. Which sports franchise do you wish would ditch their modern get-ups for a previous version?
2.) Last week we talked about your favorite odd sports statistic. What is one modern day player statistic (e.g. QB Completion Percentage, Pitcher ERA) that really bugs you?
3.) JoeSportsFan Casting Call; one current Major League player to play a roll in a remake of the original "Major League", the movie.
4.) Your wife gives you the sole responsibility to name your first child. You decide to name him after your favorite professional athlete name, no matter how ridiculous. What are you going with?
5.) In memory of the late, great Billy Mays; if you could have Mr. Mays rep one unique piece of sporting memorabilia, what would it be?
With the breaking of the black barrier in episode 20 (congrats), I feel it is necessary to mention that nba.com has recently broken the rules. Not only did they refer to DeJuan Blair (a black man) as having a "high motor", they refered to DeMar DeRozan (also black) as having both "top flight athleticism" AND "a high motor"! Having proven yourselves as masters of race relations (yes, a Seinfeld reference) with the past episode, answer this question: How can this have happened? See for yourselveshttp://www.nba.com/draft2009/
