tbs-lead-distance-smallWe start out Episode 35 of the JoeSportsFan Show by reviewing the #35 in sports (yes, very creative), including an interesting nugget about Frank Thomas.  And to be frank (hey-o), who doesn't love Big Hurt nuggets? Keeping with the topic de jour, we discussed a few seemingly useless enhancements to the MLB playoff baseball television experience.

We also reviewed JoeSportsFan's glorious appearance on ESPN's SportsNation last week and I gave a few thoughts regarding Blogs with Balls in Vegas last week.

In fact, I was so enthralled with Blogs with Balls, we invited two notable personalities from the event to join us during our digital jamboree we like to call "Wiffle Ball".

Chris Lucas: HuggingHaroldReynolds and mastermind behind the "Blogs with Balls" emerging sports media conferences.

Adam Best: co-founder, senior editor of the FanSided.com sports network; winner of the BwB Poker Shootout.

The five questions asked during this week's "Wiffle Ball" round table brought the heat as usual.  Among the five questions:
If NBC's "Biggest Loser" announces a special "Professional and Collegiate Football Coaches" edition, who are you picking as the front runner to trim the most waistline?

See, I told you they brought the heat. It's the questions *and* answers you deserve.

When I read about how Phillips' mistress was describing the birthmarks around his junk, I purged everything regarding the situation from my mind. So I have no idea what you're talking about.

I am amazed by the restraint (?) that you all have shown regarding the Steve Phillips fiasco. But how is this possible? You've been relentless when dogging his awful analysis, so why lay off now?

Ruppert Jones

Unfortunately for Angels fans, it was an 0-2 count with the bases loaded when Ruppert Jones realized he left his dog Muzzy in his locked car on a 90 degree Anaheim afternoon. Sadly, Muzzy didn't make it past the 7th inning stretch.
