jsf-logo-smallSebek and Bacott began Episode 28 of the JoeSportsFan Show talking about the recent debut of the "JoeSportsFan Radio Network" - which also includes weekly shows from us (duh), and our homeboys over at HuggingHaroldReynolds.com and TheSportsHernia.com.

We then dabbled with a little "This Week in History" (August 28st), which included nuggets such as the first "professional football game", baseball triple-headers, retiring Don Mattingly's number, and the closing of the infamous (read: extremely shitty) 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis, MO.

In fact, the details surrounding the 1904 Olympics were so shocking, we spent our topical segment rehashing some of the more notable events.

During our weekly round table, we were joined by Sarah Spain (MouthpieceSports.com) and Ryan Hudson (RealClearSports.com) - which included the following questions...

1.) With new Minnesota Brett Favre jerseys and Philadelphia Michael Vick jerseys apparently flying off the shelves…what is one "athlete *after* their prime" jersey that you always hated?

2.) What is the dumbest rule/scoring decision in sports? (i.e. pitcher who blows a save and gets the win).

3.) (From Dan Levy) If you could play for one professional or collegiate coach, who would it be and why?

4.) Besides the Little League World Series has come and gone, what other "little league" sport would you like to see ESPN cover?

5.) With the NFL starting up next week, we ask you, "What team - for either their success or failure - will be the biggest surprise in 2009?"
